This tool is for the shorter T & R clutch pack as used on all the small bore engines and some early 1275 lower powered engines. if you have the 3 plate clutch pack, please use VLC-18G1120 

To aid removal & installation of the top & reverse piston & it's sealing ring, 

Reduces damage to to incorrect installation
